Gene Harper

Interim Chairman and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Gene Harper has over 25 years of senior management experience. Mr. Harper has served as a business advisor and Chief Financial Officer with public and private companies in the retail, manufacturing and consumer industries. Mr. Harper was employed by KPMG for eleven years as a senior manager in the retail and distribution division. Mr. Harper joined Summerlin Health as the Chief Financial Officer in 2009.

Tom Cummings, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Tom Cummings brings a wide array of experience to Summerlin Health. An undergraduate psychology major at Stanford University, Dr. Cummings followed his bachelor 's degree with an M.D. degree from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). He completed a family medicine residency at the UCSD Medical Center and built a successful practice in Pacific Beach, California, which served the community for over 20 years. Recognized for his leadership skills by his peers, Dr. Cummings served in multiple roles at his community hospital including Chief of Staff, Chief of Family Practice and Director of Quality Assurance. He was a founder and the Medical Director of Mission Bay Medical Group, a 140-member independent physician association recognized by the insurance industry for its quality of care. His experience in patient care, physician oversight, and quality of care issues has caused him to be a sought after expert witness, and designated as such in over 150 cases. A strong patient advocate, he participated both in the defense of physicians and on the plaintiffs ' side in sharing his opinions regarding applicable standards of care.

Sharon L. Drew

Senior Vice President of Administration

Ms. Drew serves as Senior Vice President of Administration for Summerlin Health™. From 1964 - 1971 Sharon was in administration of the Trust Department of Michigan Bank. In 1971 she moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where she managed accounting tasks for Federal Imports, Inc., until 1984. From 1984 - 1986, Ms. Drew worked for Hoffmann, Laren & Feinstein, P.A. as an account manager. Following her account management position, Ms. Drew worked as a Legal Assistant at Lawrence D. Zietz, P.A. until 2006. In 2006, she moved to Las Vegas to head Canyon Gate Marketing. While at Canyon Gate, she served as General Manager and administered over merchant accounts for Internet based companies until being appointed to her current position on the Summerlin Health™ executive team in June 2009.


Andras F. Babero

Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Babero is the Chief Compliance Officer for Summerlin Health™. Mr. Babero practiced law after receiving his Juris Doctorate from the Bates College of Law in Houston, Texas, in 1978. Beginning in 1981, he went into banking, eventually serving as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Secretary for PriMerit Bank (formerly Nevada Savings and Loan Association). In 1994, he founded his own law firm and co-founded Commercial Bank of Nevada (CNB). He served on CNB’s Board of Directors and as a member of the loan, ALCO, and human resources committees. He also served as chairman of CNB's audit committee. Mr. Babero sold the bank to a national bank holding company in 1999, and he served as a member of its regional Board of Directors. In 2004 he became CEO of BTAD Corporation, where he was responsible for the acquisition, zoning and development of residential and commercial projects valued in excess of $400 Million. In mid-2005 he acquired Commercial Financial Mortgage and became its CEO. Mr. Babero joined Summerlin Health™ in June 2009.


Michael A. Fels

Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Fels serves as Summerlin Health 's™Vice President. After graduating from University of South Florida with a degree in International Studies and Finance in 1991, Mr. Fels spent four years as the General Manager of the Fidelity Investments/Fidelity Capital New York office. In this role, he handled mergers and acquisitions and business development for Fidelity Capital companies, including BostonCoach, COLT, J Robert Scott and World Trade Centers among others. Beginning in 1996 he served as President of E. Management Solutions, an executive consulting company for Internet startups, where he found financing, charted new business, and handled merger/acquisition projects for Internet companies. In 2001, Mr. Fels accepted a position with RW Holdings Corp in executive management. Mr. Fels held this position until he joined the Summerlin Health™executive team in 2008.
